Acaster Arboriculture

About Us

Chris Acaster formed the company in 2000, following a one year Arboriculture course at Merrist Wood College, which he passed with Distinction.

The company aim is to provide an individual, competitively priced service to customers, whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism and reliability.

In order to achieve this, Chris undertakes all the work personally, with assistance, as and when needed, from a few selected staff. Unlike some larger companies we do not subcontract our tree surgery or gardening work out.

We normally operate in an approximate twenty mile radius around the County town of Maidstone

There are numerous large and small Tree Surgery companies around who employ unqualified staff and do not conform to legislation or health and safety. We pride ourselves on the knowledge that we conduct our work to the best of our ability without cutting corners.

As part of our commitment to the environment, all our equipment runs on biodegradable oils (where applicable) and much of our waste is shredded and used as a soil conditioner on a local farm. All work is planned to ensure minimal impact to wildlife habitats.

The company is insured for:

Employers' Liability - £5,000,000

Public Liability - £2,000,000

Products Liability - £2,000,000

Ms. Stevens, Marden. June 2005

“Thank you so much for doing such a fantastic job. I was extremely impressed with the work that you did, and particularly grateful for the tidying up, which included removing my Christmas tree (only 6 months after Christmas) and sweeping the patio. Above and beyond the call of duty! The garden looked so much better after you had been. I have told my friends what a wonderful job you did and shall recommend you heartily should anyone have need of your services.”

Mr. Foy, Hunton. January 2005

“The work and friendly service were excellent as always.”

Mr. King, Coxheath. January 2005

“I would like to say a big Thank You for the work you and your team carried out for me. The neighbours and I have been very impressed how the site was kept clean and tidy. Although I missed seeing you on the day I understand the work was carried out in a professional and considerate manner. It is always good knowing reliable, professional people whom I would not hesitate in recommending to others in the future.”

Mr. Ellis, Bearsted. November 2004

“We were very impressed, not only with the detail of your quotation and the courteousness of yourself and colleague, but also with the professional and tidy manner in which the job was carried out. We would certainly recommend you to others if the occasion arises.”

Mr. Brett, Staplehurst. July 2004

“Many thanks for fitting us in a bit early! We were very pleased with the work, and would like to thank you and your team particularly for leaving the garden so tidy! I would certainly be more than willing to provide references/letters of recommendation should you ever require them.”

Mr. Sanfourche, Maidstone. July 2004

“Thank you for the superb work you did and for having done such a neat job clearing all the debris! Thank you also for your suggestions concerning shrubs. I shall certainly mention your name whenever I hear friends requesting that type of work.”

Mr. & Mrs. Brown, Weavering. February 2004

“We would like to thank you for the excellent work you and your colleague carried out for us a couple of weeks ago. Considering the difficulty of the tree placements – sheds and the like, we were really impressed how speedily and neatly the work was carried out. In addition, the attention to detail in clearing up was fantastic – apart from the trees missing, it would be difficult to see that you had been here! This is in great contrast to other “tree surgeons” we have used in the past. You and your staff exceeded our expectations.”

Mr. Sell, Maidstone. July 2003

“I would like to express how extremely pleased my wife and I are, not only with your work in removing the tree but also the help and advice that you have provided, both prior and also afterwards. It is so rare these days to experience such a high standard of workmanship and care towards the customer. You can be assured that we will recommend your work to our friends. Thank you once again”

Mr. & Mrs. Coupland, Walderslade. October 2002

“Many thanks indeed for a great job. Compared to what has been done in the area, mine must be the only tree that has retained such a lovely shape. The lopping of this tree has, to my surprise and delight, also made a big difference to the amount of light that there is now in my kitchen. Thanks again.”

Mrs. Day (J.P., Retired), Marden. July 2002

“We are delighted with the work you carried out in the garden. What a difference lowering and cutting back the hedge has made. Renewed thanks for your excellent work.”
